What do I do on a warm sunny day in November when the air is clear and the light makes everything look more real than reality? I grab my camera and walk up to the Acropolis. Maybe this will be the day that I take that award-winning photo of what must be the most photographed place on earth. Unlike other trips when I attempted to avoid photographing the workers and the scaffolding, I decided to include them so you could see what is going on with the restoration,
since it
will be going on for years to come. Personally I think the activity and the signs posted around which explain the restoration makes a trip to the Acropolis even more interesting. It also makes me see the Acropolis not as a memorial to the past but as a work in progress. Click on the photos below to see them full size.
