30th April – 7th May

Our catamaran ‘Kool’ is a Catana 381 designed for blue water performance sailing making her the coolest way to chase the wind. This design of catamaran was particularly chosen by Wildside for trips with surfing (wind/kite surfing) in mind.

 Itinerary

Day 1. Meet on board ‘Kool’. Take care of paperwork, crew lists etc. for Port Authorities. Provision the boat and go. The first day we will sail from Kos Marina to Lambi to surf along the sandy beaches of Kos accompanied by ‘Kool’. From there will be a long sail into the sunset to anchor in the bay of Levitha, a small island in between the islands of Dodecanese and Cyclades for a BBQ dinner.

Day 2. With coffee in hand we will set sail for a sunrise at sea and an afternoon rendezvous with the wind in the beautiful clear waters of Pori Beach in Koufonisia. For the evening we have the choice of going ashore to the quaint little village on Upper Koufonisia for the evening or anchoring in the clear waters of lower Koufonisia for a BBQ and our own private party at Lower Koufinisia.

Day 3. From Koufonisi we have a short sail to Naxos where we have all day and miles of sandy beaches to explore and discover the pick of surf spots. Evening will be spent in the Harbour to explore Naxos town and some cool tavernas in the narrow winding streets of the old town.

Day 4. A short sail to Paros and once again a day of exploring a choice of spots in the North of the island including the bay of Naousis where we will anchor for the night.

Day 5. Once again another short sail to Pounda, once the venue for PKRA world tour. Here we have the whole day to surf in the shallow flat waters and the meltemi winds in between the islands of Paros and Andiparos. For the evening we’ll anchor in a quiet gorgeous blue water bay off the island of Dhespotico for BBQ and late night dip under the stars.

Day 6. Today we will make a short sail to a location near to yesterdays spot, Pounda for a nice morning until early afternoon session. In the afternoon we’ll set sail for the party town of Ios.

Day 7. While the crew are sleeping off the night of partying the skipper will set sail for Santorini with the aim of a last session at one of the black beaches outside of the caldera before sailing in for departure.

*This is an example itinerary, adjustments will be made according to the wind. With wind updates from various sources including wind guru and local experience, final plans will be made by all the crew before departure. Variations are also inevitable when we discover new spots along the way.
