When you would get to the Olympic complex there were volunteers everywhere, telling you where to go to find your game. There were also volunteers every several meters that you could ask specific instructions. Everyone wanted these shirts but they were only for the volunteers who came from almost every country. One volunteer was in his eighties, hired for his energy and the fact that he spoke 9 languages fluently. Many of the cast in the opening and closing ceremonies, including the dancers were volunteers and did double-duty at the events, helping people find their seats and providing information.
