DOMA HOTEL
A traditional hotel with personality, the Doma Hotel is a converted neoclassical mansion
decorated with Cretan objects and photos from a bygone era, Built at the
beginning of the 19th century, the Doma hotel originally it housed the
Austrian Consulate. Located outside the walls of the old Venetian harbour
with a breathtaking view of the Bay in Chania and within walking distance
of the Venetian harbour.

A ROOM WITH A VIEW.
With twenty rooms to choose from, you can enjoy the fascinating view of
the sea or for those who prefer, relax with a view of the garden. All
rooms have a private shower, central heating, telephone, hair dryer,
ceiling fan, air-condition and a television.
SUITES.
The view from the exclusive top-floor suite is magnificent. This suite is
furnished with all the extra comfort expected including a private
bathroom, hairdryer, central heating, air-conditioning, telephone and a
mini-bar.
On the first floor there are two additional suites. They also have private
bathrooms, hairdryers, central heating, air-conditioning, telephone,
television and a mini-bar. They either overlook the sea or the hotel
garden.
RESTAURANT.
On the third floor, the dining room and the bar overlook the bay. The
furniture includes important treasures such as photographs and antiques
dating from the 19th century, everyday-use artefacts collected from all
over the Island as well as a remarkable collection of locks and Turkish
objects.
In the evenings you can enjoy local cuisine. In the same dining room you
can have breakfast with homemade sweets and marmalades.
SITTING ROOM.
On the ground floor with a view of the hotel garden, the Doma hotel
sitting room provides a perfect place to read a book or simply to enjoy a
drink. You can also appreciate a unique collection of headdresses from all
over the world, in particular from the Middle and Far East and Central
Asia.
DISTANCES.
The Doma hotel is located outside the walls of the old Venetian harbour
with a breathtaking view of the Bay in Chania. When arriving in Chania
with the ferry, the distance from the port of Souda is approximately 15
minutes by car, the distance from the airport of Chania in Akrotiri is
about the same. Walking from the Doma to the Venetian harbour would take
some 20 minutes.S
