MARINA VILLAGE HOTELThe Marina Village Hotel is built in the olive grove of Paleokastro, one kilometer away from the village and six hundred meters from the beaches of Hiona and Kouremenos. Built in a bungalow style, the Marina Village Hotel is divided in five different buildings, where each room has each own independent entrance. Each of the 28 hotel rooms were totally renovated in 2005 and all have bedroom, W/C & shower, balcony with sea view or veranda to the garden, telephone, safe box, satellite TV, refrigerator, central heating and A/C. Paleokastro is a traditional village which lies in the eastern end of Crete, eighteen kilometers away from Sitia and is the base of Itanos municipality. Its name means old castle in Greek and that because of the ruins of the old castle on the top of Kastri hill, which divides the cost in the two beaches of the village, Hiona and Kouremenos, where are the surfing club and the fishing harbor. In the village there are police station, drug store, photo shop, restaurants, entertainment and shops where you can buy food and newspapers. |
