 Friday -
arrival on Poros Island - Check in to Saga Hotel. In the Evening
after checking in, a walk to the town to see the "Epitaphios" procession. This normally
happens around 8.30 pm and there are actually 3 or 4 Epitaphios
that happen at the same time all setting off from the individual
churches and ending up at the main Poros square (by the harbor
and the Cafes) Saturday
Saturday - A visit to the Church in the Evening (before midnight) to witness the resurrection celebration and fireworks. After that a visit to one of the restaurants, to have the traditional soup of "Magiritsa" Sunday Easter Sunday - At Saga, people participate in the traditional Barbecue "Souvla" - preparation whilst unlimited local wine is provided. Once the Souvla is ready everyone sits down for the feast.
