These are a few recipes I scanned from the award winning Grecian Plate Cookbook because I was getting so many requests from people who wanted to make a Greek dish for a party or to convince their husbands that they should go to Greece. If you want to become a real Greek cook you should buy the cookbook because
you will get bored if you have to eat these
same dishes every night, but they will give you an idea of what it takes to cook Greek food. The reason I like the Grecian Plate Cookbook is because they are family recipes collected from the women (and some men I assume) of the Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Barbaras in Durham, North Carolina and have been passed down from one generation to the next. Like the members of the church these recipes come from all over Greece.
