This was indeed a very strange house that we discovered when we visited the island of Salamina one day. We don't know much about it. We met the owner/artist and told him it was beautiful but we were not sure what questions to ask. Obviously it took years to do and it seems to be an ongoing project made mostly of pieces of wood held together by cement or mortar of some sort. There may even be rental rooms in it. It is in the town of Peristeria and you can easily go from Athens and visit it and be back in a couple hours by car or taxi. The
ferry from Perama only takes 15 minutes but getting here by bus would be pretty complicated. There is a nice taverna within a few minutes walk and a beach where people do swim in the summer, despite it being so close to Pireaus.
