Our new home on the corner of Aeoporou Papanastasiou and Michalokopoulou Streets. When we left Athens in 1964 Mikalakopoulou Street did not even exist. In fact it was a river which had just been covered up. Now it was a 4-lane road. We lived on top of a gas station which I can't even imagine doing now but I don't remember being bothered by the smell.
