Anastasia's Windmill

The Windmill of Anastasia is a detached windmill house with adjacent independent guest room, situated in a plot of land of 1000 m2 surrounded by gardens and terraces, offering limitless panoramic view of the surrounding landscape and traditional villages, the sea and the islands beyond. It is located in a very peaceful and quiet area in the midst of the traditional villages of Milos island, at the top of a hill just above Tripiti Village, approximately 5 km from the port of Adamas and 3 km from the nearest beach.

This windmill, refurbished into a house, was built in 1860 and is furnished with the old style island furniture and decorative items reminiscent of past ages. It is built in three levels which are connected with an interior stone staircase and can accommodate up to 5 persons. On the ground floor there is a fully equipped kitchen and a sitting area. On the first floor there is one bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom and on the second floor there is one more bedroom with a double bed. Both bedrooms are air-conditioned and equipped with a TV.

The guest room, which used to be the "wheat grinder's" cottage, is an independent small building at a distance of 20 meters from the windmill that can accommodate 2 persons. The guest room is consisted of a bedroom with a double bed, a small bathroom, a small kitchenette with coffee machine and minimal utensils adequate for breakfast, its own terrace offering a magnificent view and a barbecue. The guest room is also air-conditioned and equipped with a TV.

The guest room is adjacent to the windmill house, but independent. It can be rented independently or together with the windmill house, as a single large house that can comfortably accommodate 7 persons. Access between the guest room and the windmill house is through a garden path that links the guest room terrace to the windmill house terrace.

There is Wi-Fi internet access throughout the premises and parking space available directly in front of the main entrance.

WINDMILL KARAMITSOS

Windmill Karamitsos is a detached traditional windmill house, located in a very peaceful and quiet area at the top of a hill just above Tripiti Village, approximately 5 km from the port of Adamas and 3 km from the nearest beach. The windmill is surrounded by garden and large terraces with magnificent views, offering unlimited panoramic view of the traditional hillside villages, the Aegean sea and the surrounding islands.

This windmill, refurbished into a house, was built during the 19th century and can comfortably accommodate 4 persons. It is built in three levels which are connected with an interior stone staircase. On the ground floor there are a WC and a sitting room equipped with a TV and a CD player. On the first floor there is one bedroom with a double bed and on the second floor there is one more bedroom with a double bed.

Detached from the windmill and 4 meters from it, is what used to be the "wheat grinder's" cottage, now functioning as an annex to the windmill house consisted of a fully equipped kitchenette and a living room with fireplace, and the main bathroom (with hairdryer).

The outdoor garden area is well-attended, with a millstone used as a decorative detail. Guests can relax in the built-in sofas and armchairs and a barbeque is also available. The accommodation is pet friendly.

There is available parking space directly in front of the main entrance and guests are also provided with the beach towels during their stay.

Mimallis Traditional Houses

The Mimallis Traditional Houses in Plaka are composed of 3 fully renovated traditional stone built houses, located in the picturesque village of Plaka, between 100 - 200 meters from the nearest public area where many shops restaurants and the bus stop are.

The houses functioned over a century as residences or stores and have been renovated in 2005 with subtle taste and care, preserving a traditional character but are nowadays equipped with modern amenities to ensure a comfortable stay for their guests. All houses (3 units) are equipped with Air conditioning, flat LCD TV and fully equipped kitchenette.

“Oven House” is a typical Cycladic house-studio that can accommodate up to 2 persons. The house has one unified area where besides the kitchenette and private bathroom with shower, one can find a built-in double bed where in the past they used to squeeze grapes in order to produce wine. The view from this house is limited.

“Taylor’s House” is a beautiful traditional house that can comfortably accommodate 2 or 3 persons. It is located in one of the peaceful alleys in the midst of the Cycladic whitewashed houses, just a few steps from the heart of the lively center of Plaka. Many decades ago it used to be the village tailor shop after which it got its name. The house is composed of a sitting area, a separate bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom with shower, a kitchenette, a front yard and private backyard with a view to the castle.

“Anoi House” is situated close to the tourist center of Plaka in a narrow alley amid the whitewashed Cycladic houses, and can comfortably accommodate 2 or 3 persons. The house consists of a sitting room with a built-in sofa, WC with shower and kitchen and another room, separated with an arch, with a built-in double bed. The house has a veranda with a panoramic view of the surroundings villages, the castle, as well as a distant sea view.

Stella's House

“Stella’s house” is a traditional Cycladic house located 150 meters from the waterfront of the picturesque Mandrakia on the north side of the island, a small fisherman village famous for its colourful “syrmata” which used to be shelters for the boats dug in the rocks that are also known as the island’s trademark. Only 3km from Plaka center and 4 km from Adamas port, this is a perfect location for couples or families who want to relax and enjoy sea views, one sandy and one pebble beach at the distance of 100 – 200 meters away, while many shops, restaurants and bus stop are just 1km away at the local center of Triovassalos.

The house can accommodate up to 5 persons, as it consists of one traditional stone double bed and one single bed in the main bedroom, a separate living/dining area with two sofa beds and fully equipped kitchenette, one bathroom with shower, and a comfortable shaded veranda with sea view where you can enjoy meals or relax.

The house is also equipped with an Air conditioning, LCD TV, Wi-Fi Internet access, private parking area and spacious garden area. Small pets are welcome, while the very hospitable owners do their best to ensure a pleasant stay for their guests.

Villa Lord House

Villa Lord House is located directly on the waterfront in Pollonia with a lovely view of the sea and next to the village seaside tavernas and shops, as well as 10 km from the port of Adamas and 14km from the town of Plaka. This is an independent house literally on the waters’ edge, surrounded with its own secluded garden which gives it a sense of privacy and direct view to the sea, while you can relax or sunbathe at the porch. The Villa Lord can accommodate up to 5 adults (or 4 adults and 2 children).

The internal layout is typical of the Cycladic island, comprising of two separate bedrooms (one with double bed and second with a double bed and extra sofa bed), a fully equipped kitchen with dining table and one bathroom with shower, each with independent entrance via the private courtyard of the house (note that the rooms, bathroom and kitchen are not connected with each other except through the courtyard). It is also equipped with air-conditioning, TV, and hair dryer.

The village of Pollonia is considered ideal for those who seek tranquillity and relaxing vacation. Bus stop, restaurants and shops are all within 50 meters.
